# Accounts, billing and support

Which workspace the API runs in, how it is billed, the rules for what you send, and how to reach support.

The API runs on your VEED account, in an API workspace with its own keys,
credits and request log. This page covers what that means for billing, for the
content you send, and for getting help.

## Accounts and workspaces

Sign in with a VEED account. API usage belongs to an API workspace, which is
separate from the workspaces you edit videos in. An editor subscription or AI
credits do not pay for API jobs.

The API is for business and professional use, individual developers included.
You must be 18 or over to use it.

## Billing

Each model has its own rate, listed on [pricing](https://api.veed.io/pricing), and a job is billed
only once it completes.

- **Self-serve workspaces prepay.** Top up credits in the dashboard's Billing.
Credits are non-refundable and expire two years after purchase. Prices
exclude tax.

- **Enterprise workspaces are billed in arrears** against a commitment.
[Contact sales](https://www.veed.io/contact-sales) for that, for higher rate limits,
or for volume pricing.

The [Terms of Sale](https://www.veed.io/terms-of-sale) govern both. The dashboard's
Activity and Request log show each job and what it cost; Billing shows your
spend and balance.

## What you send and what you get back

- You can use outputs commercially, under the [Terms of Sale](https://www.veed.io/terms-of-sale).
- Only send images, video and voices you own or have permission to use. The
[Code of Conduct](https://support.veed.io/en/articles/6981576-veed-code-of-conduct) sets the rules, and a job
that breaks them fails with `content_moderation`.

- Your inputs and outputs are not used to train models unless you agree to it.
[Media retention](https://api.veed.io/docs/media-retention) says how long each is kept.

## Support

Email [hello@veed.io](mailto:hello@veed.io), or use the chat
in the dashboard. Quote the `job_id` and the `X-Request-ID` response header
(also `request_id` in an error body): with those, support finds your request
straight away. The [help center](https://support.veed.io/en/collections/19764698-direct-api-access) answers the common
questions.
